Just waiting for a RUclips app for Fenix 6x Pro.

Still wearing mine in 2024. Such a great watch. I do wear my Galaxy Watch more often but when I get tired of all the social media notifications and information overload I bust out the Fenix. The Galaxy Watch is an amazing smartwatch but can also be very intrusive and obnoxious at times. Garmin keeps it professional.

Have a garmin fenix 5x dead. Just change the battery and didn't work. I'm done with garmin

Fantastic video ! I use (cached) openTopoMaps on my phone. Now I can run them on my watch. Excellent. I hate Garmin maps.

I just bought a Garmin Fenix 6S, not knowing that it does not have Maps function! is there a way to get maps to navigate GPS trails for hiking?

Hey JR tell me. Is this motion sensor compatible with the Aqara Hub E1 powered by USB-A?

Don't really understand the concern about battery life. It's rechargeable folks. Pretty easily done over USB port. I just paid $799 plus for a plethora of sensors only to turn them off so I charge less often, like less than twice a month? Don't really understand that one. I bought the watch for is sensors and GPS. I want those features running :)

Not great for anyone like me who is trying to connect to an iPhone after having had an Android. In these circumstances the watch doesn't automatically enter pairing mode.

Great review. I bought a Fenix 6 pro for myself and an older 5x for my son. I actually am going to keep the 5x for myself and give the newer one to my son now.... primarily because the 6 pro looks too small on my wrist. And I really don't notice much of a different between the two for what I use them for... which is mainly the GPS. I do notice the 6 is a little brighter on the screen... but not much. I don't notice any difference at all in resolution. Oddly even though the 6 pro is significantly smaller the actual screen size on the 6 pro is bigger than on the huge 5x... but both have such small screens that it really doesn't matter that much. I'd like to compare the newer 6x, 7x or plus to it. I do notice a few software charges but nothing to write home about. It's nice that the 6 battery life is double but a week of life on the 5 is plenty really unless you get lost in the woods and need GPS for more than 20 hours which is unlikely...

Soma Smart Shades is a shockingly bad bit of tech. Avoid and go with something more reliable. I’ve had it since it came out and it’s always either stuck or the hubs disconnected and needs restarting which results in Siri saying “the blinds are not responding”. To update the software you have to manually remove the memory card from the hub (raspberry pi) and then put it into a card reader, then download the software manually from their website, then put it on the usb card, put it back in the hub). The whole product is so clunky and buggy. Avoid avoid avoid.

Of course it uses more energy the more the screen changes because it's a type of screen called electronic-ink display which only uses energy when something changes, it doesn't use energy when the image is static.

Does anyone know if there's a way to change the Auto Pause detection/reaction interval? Unless you specific a longer "Custom" interval, it takes about eight seconds to "realize" I've stopped or started, which is annoying, as that yields an accurate measure of certain activities where you may be making frequent, but short stops (such as dog walking, lawn mowing with a walk-behind, or photography). It would be much better if it paused after a second or two of stopping or starting! One can of course manually start/stop, but this is a PITA and it's too easy to forget or not have time to hit the button. How about a firmware update, Garmin?

Guys help please, I jus bought mine two days ago, and the brightness of mine is not like the others even though is 80% set,everything is like pale, there is just not colours, not bright , it is like the screen is dim, I've seen other videos and all look good, am I missing some settings or my be a fault
